Unterhaching, May 20, 2022 – One year after entering the market digitally due to the pandemic, ROCKETSOLUTION GmbH makes its first appearance at LogiMAT 2022, showcasing its innovative ROCKET shuttle system. The high-density small parts storage system, designed for loads up to 50 kilograms, impresses with maximum storage density, flexible scalability, exceptional robustness, and easy integration. Compared to conventional shuttle systems, the ROCKET system significantly reduces the space required while increasing efficiency and profitability in small parts warehousing. Whether as a decentralized distribution center, micro-fulfillment center in urban areas, buffer warehouse, or production storage: the innovative ROCKET shuttle system offers highly effective intralogistics automation. ROCKETSOLUTION’s technology delivers maximum density with the highest system performance, creating high-performance storage areas in the smallest space. Key system components of the ROCKET include the capacity-optimized rack (RS-Rack), robust shuttle vehicles (RS-Shuttles), flexible lifts (RS-Lifts), and the software suite (RS-Software).

The ROCKET system, deployed across various industries, stores containers and trays up to 50 kilograms with a flexible throughput of up to 1,500 picks and puts per hour per aisle. With its standard four-deep storage, the shuttle system requires significantly less space without compromising performance. The ultra-compact RS-Shuttles also allow aisle widths to be reduced by half. In addition, intelligent container arrangement, space-saving lift transfers, and clever maintenance access points dramatically reduce unused space within the storage system.

With a height of up to 30 meters, the ROCKET optimizes the use of vertical space. Even very flat goods can be stored densely, and the system operates efficiently starting at a container height of just 100 millimeters, without any wasted vertical space. Compared to conventional automated systems, the ROCKET system significantly improves space efficiency.

In addition to the novel load-handling device, which lifts containers in and out of the racks with precision rather than sliding them, rack-guided containers ensure process reliability (preventing so-called “dancing totes”) and provide dependable system availability.

Thanks to flexible storage depths and variably installable lifts, the ROCKET shuttle system adapts exceptionally well to challenging structural and spatial conditions. Its high space efficiency reduces operating costs and improves the ecological footprint sustainably.
